Learn more about Melissa

Melissa Steinour is an evangelist from Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Remnant Bible College with a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Leadership and is a licensed evangelist with the Assemblies of God.

Melissa travels to churches, women’s events, and other ministry gatherings sharing the Word of God and encouraging others in their faith. She also shares biblical teachings and encouragement through writing, video, social media, and her website. Melissa serves on the leadership board of Awaken Us Ministries.

Melissa has walked through many battles in her lifetime, and those experiences have shaped her heart for ministry. She loves encouraging others through what God has brought her through and inspiring them to continue walking in faith and believing that God is truly for them and not against them. Isaiah 43:1–3 is especially close to her heart: we may walk through deep waters and through the fire, but the waters will not overwhelm us and the flames will not consume us. God promises to be with us and declares, “I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”

Melissa is Holy Spirit led in her teaching and has a gift for explaining the Bible in a practical and easy-to-understand way. Her heart is to see people come to know Jesus and to be transformed, strengthened, encouraged, and healed through His power and presence.

Melissa has been married to her husband, Tom, for 30 years. They have two grown sons, Brady and Austin, a daughter-in-law, Cassidy, and are excited to soon welcome Jaina as another daughter-in-law. Their family also includes their very loved Labradoodle, Sadie.
